From the previous three years at SNC Asia conferences, it has become apparent that the Far East/Asian market for social networking will emerge as the largest sector over the next decade. Within certain countries, especially Japan, mobile applications are quite advanced. Moreso than Europe, the Far East is an untapped market for Social Networking. At the end of 2007, China's QQ.com has become the worlds largest SN site, with more users than MySpace. Meanwhile, most of the social networking industry remians concentrated on what is now considerd a maturing market in North America. Few companies outside of Asia have actively pursued the Far East/Asian market for social networking.

Our 4^th annual Far East Social Networking Conference will provide an event in Tokyo on Thursday and Friday, May 8-9, 2008. While it will cover the Asian Social Networking business, the SNC2008 Tokyo event will also have a strong focus on Japan. Experts in technology, business management in Asia, venture capital, mobile applications and marketing for social networking with experience with the market in Far East nations will present. The SNC2008 Tokyo event will focus mostly on the Japanese market for several reasons. The previous 3 annual events were located in China, an area of rapid and expansive growth. We are now witnessing unique SN growth in Japan. With the exception of Yahoo, many successful North American based businesses have ignored expansion into this market, Japanese entrepreneurs have created their own brands, which are now quite popular in the country.

Similar to the Miami event in January, this two day Asian Social Networking Conference will consist of morning seminars and lectures, followed by afternoon workshops. The workshops will consist of a series of 90 minute intensive lectures that are designed to improve social networking business performance. Most presentations will focus on increasing Far East web traffic and conversion rates. Language issues, cultural differences, technological developments and preferences for specific Asian countries will be covered at this event. Social Media industry executives, marketing representatives, technology executives, affiliates and affiliate managers all stand to learn a great deal in these workshops and are welcome to interject their questions at anytime. Significant time will exist for networking as well. Presentations will be both in English and Japanese.
